Four of my top teeth are still baby teeth and I have no adults ones behind it. The dentist said I can get individual tooth implants for £1700 each, but I can never afford that.
It often hurts to eat cold, hot or crunchy foods. So if I tell the dentist it causes me pain, will I be able to get the implants for free?
Also, I am 17, so normal check-ups are still free.

I’m self-employed and need to get a dental plan that would hopefully cover much of the cost of bridges and tooth implants without a long waiting period. Are there such dental plans out there?
NO SPAM PLEASE!

I got into a bicycle accident yesterday. Landed on my chin. I got 7 stitches to close my chin up, and I have a small jaw fracture. I saw the dentist today, who referred me to an oral surgeon. I didn’t lose any teeth in the accident, however, 2 of them were cracked, and there are horizontal fractures on both. The dentist thinks she’ll have to pull them both. I’m 23, so there’s no way I’m ready to go through life missing teeth, so implants are an option. How safe are they? Infection wise? Does anybody have tooth implants? Or do any dental professionals know any research on it? My mom thinks my history of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis could cause a relapse with something foreign in my body.

I’m 17 years old and am getting 2 tooth implants a week from today…any advice? How bad do they hurt? Really…cause I’m scared to death (sounds pathetic, I know)…only other dental procedures I’ve had done are getting 6 baby teeth pulled and then getting my gums cut open to place 2 brackets on teeth to pull them down…I had braces for 3 years…and that’s about it. No cavities. No nothing.
Any advice from those who have had implants? How bad does the actual procedure hurt?

I heard they last 25 years, but I’m getting them when I turn 18 does that mean I will only have them until im 43? Can they be remade? I’m not a smoker or alcoholic or and I don’t do any drug use.
And do they hurt to put them on? Does it hurt during the process? When I had a root canal it was killing me, but do tooth implants hurt though?

I’m getting a DOD physical exam next month because I’m joining the Navy ROTC. does anyone know if having tooth implants will disqualify the medical exam? the implants use titanium tooth roots and my friend told me he was turned down by the marines because he had titanium jaw re-enforcements.
thanks for the input everybody

A dentist we went to see says he guarantees implants for 5 years. That is not good enough to mess with. Have you had better luck with your tooth implants?

I am considering having some tooth implants, but I react to certain metals in regards to wearing jewlery. I am wondering if this might cause a negative reaction to the implants.
