Is a Sonicare toothbrush good for sensitive teeth?

I normally use a low-abrasive toothpaste and a very soft toothbrush because of my sensitive teeth.

Would a Sonicare toothbrush be better or worse for this?

Thanks.

Before I have my braces, I will have to have one of my adult teeth out! I have sensitive teeth as well. How much – on average – does it hurt? Bare in mind, I will be about 11 or 12 when I have this done….By the way, can you still get knocked out for it? If you can – YYYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYY!
Thanks xx

How to whiten super sensitive teeth?

I have really sensitive teeth. I tried Crest Advanced White Strips and after one use my teeth were incredibly sensitive and painful the next day. I also use the Sensodyne whitening toothpaste and it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Does anyone have experience with store-bought or dentist office whitening that doesn’t cause pain? I know there are tons of things out on the market and there has to be something that works without triggering sensitivity. Or at least a in-office procedure they can do to help.

Note: i am NOT looking for home remedies!!

How do you calm sensitive teeth?

I have very, very sensitive teeth. It’s difficult for me to eat even fruit like grapes without pain. Anything cold I have to prepare myself mentally to eat. I use Sensodyne, it helps a little. Is there anything else maybe the dentist could do?

Does Filing your Teeth Make it More Sensitive?

For one consultation with the dentist, he suggested that I have some teeth filed away for braces. I didn’t like that idea because I think it would cause nerve damage. In the long term, I may have to cope with sensitive teeth. The dentist said that I already have thin enamel probably from drinking acidic foods or brushing too hard. My mom said that she had to cope with sensitive teeth for the rest of her life because of filing. I’m a bit skeptical of this idea and not sure, any suggestions?

My mom has sensitive teeth and shes been eating oatmeal but she wants something else and wants too go out for dinner give me some ideas !?

I have sensitive teeth and therefore can only use a toothpaste specifically for sensitivity, however, all the toothpastes I’ve tried (sensodyne, colgate for sensitive teeth, etc) leave redness around my lips after I brush my teeth – even though it goes away in several minutes, it leaves a burning sensation and sort of bleaches my skin, so I’m assuming I’m allergic to this type of toothpaste. I don’t get any reaction when using a regular toothpaste, but then I don’t get the benefits tootpaste for sensitive teeth provides. I’m not sure what to do and would appreciate some advice.

I’ve had braces since July. Just recently, my teeth started to hurt whenever I are or drank something even remotely cold. It’s almost like a brief toothache type pain. I’ve never had sensitive teeth before, but my mom does. The cold things at the dentist don’t bother me. I’m not sure why all of a sudden this is happening to me.

what can i do about sensitive teeth?

I have very sensitive teeth, i guess because the other night it hurt so bad and wouldnt go away, i had to take an iburprofen, but then i felt fine. Is there something else i can do to help this?
Yes, i bought Sensodyne the other night that i had such a problem and i used it 2 times so far. I do have a few pin hole cavites on the painful side, could that have anything to do with it?

Receding gumline procedure?

Even though I take great care of my teeth, brush and floss, etc, my dentist said I had receding gums over my, bicuspids I think they are (top right middle), and my insurance wouldn’t cover it after June. So I said, let me think about it. I called back to ask about it, like what exactly would be done, and they couldn’t tell me anything about it (dentist is not American, not to sound racist). I don’t want to just get something done that could be a problem later on, but I don’t want to leave it if it could get worse. It’s not painful, but I have very sensitive teeth. I’ve tried WebMD, but that didn’t help. Does anyone know what they do for this, and if there could be complications, or if my teeth, which are pretty nice, will look funny/color not match? I’d rather not go to another dentist for a second opinion if possible.

And I already have sensitive teeth to begin with.

I’ve always have slightly yellowish teeth since i can remember and i had tried colgate whitening toothpaste but maybe i’m sensitive to it or something because everytime i use it, it causes scratches in my gums and lips and extremely sensitive teeth. well, ignoring that i persisted in using the whitening toothpaste for a month and its still the same color. i’m afraid to use the whitening strips because of the side effects that it may cause and i heard bleaching is really bad too. so is there another method or some other brand of toothpaste that can be recommended? thanks

I have extremely sensitive teeth on one side. It hurts to get anything on them, air, heat, cold, any food, etc. What treatment might the dentist give me?

How do I know if I have sensitive teeth?

I have often read that people with sensitive teeth shouldnt use crest whitestrips. I would really like to use them but I dont know if my teeth will be okay with them. Oh also, how old do I have to be to be able to use crest whitestrips?

My father is looking for a mouthwash/rinse that will dull the pain of sensitive teeth/gums. Anyone have any ideas?

I have really sensitive teeth and I’d really like to whiten them. I’ve tried using Crest Whitestrips before, but after a few days my teeth start to ache and I have to stop. Is this typical/normal? I am looking for an inexpensive way to whiten my teeth without being irresponsible and damaging them. Any suggestions?

I would like to get my teeth one or two shades whiter.

I’ve heard some people say they’ve used products that make their teeth hurt and damage their gums, which I definitely do not want. What product do you recommend for making sensitive teeth whiter?

How can I tell if my teeth are sensitive?

I want to get teeth whitening, but they say it might be painful if you have sensitive teeth? how can I tell?

I never particularly like going to the dentist and I always think it will hurt more than it actually does whenever I have any procedures but I dont think its necessarily sensitivity and more nerves so how can I be sure if I get whitening procedure it won’t hurt?

My boyfriend and I both have really sensitive teeth when it comes to hot, cold, and especially sugars. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could drink other than soda or juice because they are terrible…. and we are getting tired of icky lukewarm milk/water……

Thanks!

Every time I drink/eat either hot or cold foods a tooth on the left upper side of my mouth HURTS! I’ve tried several products for sensitve teeth to no avail. I have to get everything just the perfect temp of high lukewarm. If it’s sensitive teeth is there something more strong than Sensydene toothpaste? That stuff works very little on me! If it is an exposed root how is that handled without pulling the tooth?

How did any of you get sensitive teeth?

I remember when i was young i used to brush my teeth really hard because i was scared of germs or something like that. Eventually i brushed away the enamel and after i eat a sweet or drink cranberry juice my teeth sting after eating something as soft as bread. How did any of you get sensitive teeth?

I think I might have sensitive teeth but I’m only fifteen and have read that sensitive teeth are usually only for older teeth. Does it mean my teeth is rotting?
Would it perhaps been due to when I was younger I used to use a colgate whitening brush kit and left it on to sleep? This was roughly when I was ten years old. Also are thinner teeth more likely to be sensitive? Thank you so much to all who have answered!

What are the best products for teeth whitening?

I was wondering what products are the best for teeth whitening?

First, what is a good whitening toothpaste?

Second, what is a good product to use for teeth whitening that doesn’t leave my teeth extremely sensitive? I have heard from multiple people that a lot of the whitening strips leave your teeth very sensitive. Anyone have any experience with a whitening product that does not leave you with extremely sensitive teeth after?

Sensitive teeth?

To any dentists, I have sensitive teeth which hurt when cold, hot, or pressure is applied.

Is this reversible or what can I do to have it fixed? How much might it cost?
