I feel like hell. All four wisdom teeth taken out this morning and my mouth is throbbing like a son of a you-know-what.
My mom is only letting me take these pain pills every 3 hours but it doesn’t completely take the pain away.
It even hurts when I swallow, its like every muscle I move in my mouth the holes where my teeth were throb really bad.
How long does this last? Any words of encouragement?

For one consultation with the dentist, he suggested that I have some teeth filed away for braces. I didn’t like that idea because I think it would cause nerve damage. In the long term, I may have to cope with sensitive teeth. The dentist said that I already have thin enamel probably from drinking acidic foods or brushing too hard. My mom said that she had to cope with sensitive teeth for the rest of her life because of filing. I’m a bit skeptical of this idea and not sure, any suggestions?

My mom has sensitive teeth and shes been eating oatmeal but she wants something else and wants too go out for dinner give me some ideas !?

I have gum disease and am trying to get rid of it now. I am brushing and flossing about four times a day now but my mom also proposed I put salt on it. After doing that, my gums don’t bleed as much anymore, but they hurt so much more. Is salt something used to help treat gum disease or am I just agitating it?

I’ve had braces since July. Just recently, my teeth started to hurt whenever I are or drank something even remotely cold. It’s almost like a brief toothache type pain. I’ve never had sensitive teeth before, but my mom does. The cold things at the dentist don’t bother me. I’m not sure why all of a sudden this is happening to me.

like i think i might have gum disease my gums dont bleed but occasionally they hurt and im young so i can ask my mom to take me to the dentist but is there any way besides surgery i dont like the sound of gum surgery

I’ve had this problem for quite some time: having bad breath. It’s not like an onion-foody-warm-type of bad breathe, it’s a distinct salivery (or as my mom describes, "silvery") type of bad breathe that I often get after eating or waking up from sleeping. But apparently I, myself can never detect it, because when I hold my hand up to my mouth nothing smells wrong.

How can I detect and get rid of (or prevent) this type of bad breathe problem? Thanks

My toy chihuahua is losing her baby teeth. She keeps yelping in pain because of it. I don’t know what to do to help with the pain. Any ideas?

My mom says its not from her teeth falling out its from the adult teeth growing in.

I got into a bicycle accident yesterday. Landed on my chin. I got 7 stitches to close my chin up, and I have a small jaw fracture. I saw the dentist today, who referred me to an oral surgeon. I didn’t lose any teeth in the accident, however, 2 of them were cracked, and there are horizontal fractures on both. The dentist thinks she’ll have to pull them both. I’m 23, so there’s no way I’m ready to go through life missing teeth, so implants are an option. How safe are they? Infection wise? Does anybody have tooth implants? Or do any dental professionals know any research on it? My mom thinks my history of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis could cause a relapse with something foreign in my body.

I went to my orthodontist yesterday to change the rubberbands on my braces, an since I got braces, my first orthodontist said I MIGHT need a tooth extraction by the end of the treatment. Since then i got a new orthodontist, and he says that my teeth are fine. He said that the only reason to pull teeth out now is for cosmetic reasons. And the worse thing about this is that my mom kept inisting that I get the extraction to the point that I started to cry when he said that he was going to pull the braces off those teeth to prepare for the extraction. My mom hasn’t even asked me about it. She even said that the orthodontist just didn’t want to give the service that I needed. It makes me feel really bad to think that she doesn’t like my face. I know she’s going to ignore me when I tell her I don’t want the extraction, so I was just wondering if someone could help by telling me how it works. I would really appreciate it. I’m really scared so knowing the procedure might calm me down a little.

Ok I started having pain in my teeth about 3 days ago. I’ve been a type of Vegetarian (i eat dairy and fish) about 2 months ago. the pain is on the bottom front teeth . My mom looked at them and said that they look almost see throw (like you can see if i have my togue up to them). my mom thinks it’s somthing to deal with me being a new Vegetarian, but i think it has to be with growing up ( i’m 13) i don’t take a iron pill or calcium pills. my dad just got some dental benefites. so i was just wondering what’s wrong with my teeth. P.S. my teeth have never been all werid like this before. Thanks in advance for your answers

I brush my teeth and i floss after i eat and i definitely dont have any rotton teeth. Yet i still think i have bad breath. My mom says that eating lots of fruit and veggies can also help eliminate bad breath, and to gargle with peroxide. Any other tips??

I have braces and my top back gum lines are receding. My mom says that there you can see more of my gums than my teeth. I already know to brush softly and to massage the gums lightly. I also want to know how long will it take till the gums are almost or fully repaired?
