I got my wisdom teeth out last wednesday over spring break and the pain was bearable then, but now i’m back in school and it’s really difficult concentrating when my face is throbbing. The pain medication isn’t really working that well. How much longer will it be before it goes away?

I was diagnosed with type two diabetes about 6 months ago.
I’ve gotten on the medication metformin.
I have lost 40 pounds or so.
I am wondering if there is anything at all I can do about my skin condition of dry skin and also am concerned about the bad breath.

I brush my teeth a few times a day but it still stinks after a few hours. I get tired of brushing it out again. **sigh**

Do you know any medication that i can use

When you get your wisdom teeth out, are you able to get pain medication and antibiotics in liquid form?

I can’t swallow pills, and don’t tell me how easy it is, just answer my question.

This is a question for a periodontist-a 58yr old man wid diabetes (in control )and lichen planus(oral and dermal). He gets repeated ulcer like sores in d mouth,he has advanced periodontitis but is under treatment, but can someone help in controlling and relieving the ulcers and sores.Any medication that can provide relief???

wearing off of pain medication and new alignment of the bite for a while? How long will they hurt? Had wisdom, #32 and molar #31 removed. Been a week now. Still taking 2 motrin twice a day for pain. Trying to slow down the pain meds.

She had her wisdom teeth pulled out almost a week ago and she is still having pain. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, the first day was the worst and after that it was nothing big.

She has tried everything, icing her mouth and her gums, gargling warm salt water, her prescription medication, sleeping … etc.

What else can she do to ease the pain?
Her cheeks are still swollen.
Hmm why did I go to Yahoo Answers for a question I have??

Oh I don’t know… think about what you just said.

I was taking the medication Tramadol for hip pain, and before that I was taking ibuprofen regularly. My gums are bleeding, but I don’t think that it is gum disease or gingivitis since I brush regularly. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

My bf’s wisdom teeth are coming in and teething gel is not doing the trick. Also, what pain medication can he take~OTC, not prescription.

I am having one wisdom tooth pulled sometime in the next couple of weeks. It is an upper tooth. (I am 35 years old.)The tooth is not impacted. It is broken and has decay. I will be awake during the procedure, with just novocaine to numb the area. The oral surgeon and his assistant said I will not feel pain but I will feel up to about 20 pounds of pressure. This sounds extremely scary to me. Also, he gave me a prescription for Halcion, which he wants me to take before the extraction. I am also nervous about that, as I am very senstitive to medication, but he said all it will do is relax me and that it will also relax my jaw which will make it easier and faster for him to extract the tooth. I want it to be as easy and fast as possible so I am planning on taking the Halcion before my appointment. Has anyone had any experience? I am curious about reactions to Halcion and what to expect to feel when I take it, and about the pain and/or pressure I may feel during the extraction. Thanks!

If halitosis is constantly lingering and proper cleaning of teeth, gums, and tongue are maintained is there a digestive problem and is there medication to deal with this problem?
John- I’ll look into that

Davy- I’ve tried all of those oral products. That’s why I’m looking for medication now.

Please no silly answers like brush your teeth or use mouthwash.

i have mild hemophilia, a bleeding disorder. then i have also gum disease. i already went to the dentist several times last year for medication. but they are afraid to clean my teeth for it might be bleeding. although they clean but not thoroughly because they are afraid. i have to go to hematology first before having dental medication. now, i felt so hopeless. is there a cure for my disease? i have been suffering this gum disease for already two years now. i hope my gums will be back to normal. Please give me some advice regarding what should i do.
