i had both of my molars removed and im planning on getting implants (teeth implants) in a month
My dentist gave me a long list of instructions on what to do and what not to do but hes not very specific "eat soft foods and plenty of liquids are advisable"
i plan on having a crepe
i cant just call my dentist and say "can i eat a crepe" that would be rude seeing as hes always packed and busy.
would it be a good idea?

If I bleached my teeth or used any whitening products, I think they’d change the color of my actual teeth, but would they change the color of my implanted tooth? I don’t think they would. And if I can’t use those products, what is the best way to get a whiter smile?

Please answer all 3 questions THANK YOU

I had my 31 tooth pulled last month and my dentist is pushing me to get a titanium screwed in implant. It is the last tooth on lower jaw. The one on the other side needs to be pulled as well. The implants are expensive. The base is running me about 1200 and the crown will be about the same (my insurance will cover the crown but it maxes out at a 1000).
I am wondering if I even need it. I am eating just fine without it. I have been reading that a full lower teeth replacement only includes 24 teeth which is what I would have left after the two bottom are pulled.
He showed me this video he has where it shows the remaining teeth you have falling out like dominos if you don’t get this. Does this really happen or is this a rare case?
I am seeing the specialist for a consult today, but I am sure he will say the same thing. Sometimes, I think some dentist are more salesman that dentist (atleast that is how I feel about mine).

it costs like 00 here and about 00 over there, so its quite a massive saving to get it done there while im on holiday,

It’s been 5 months since I got my implant placed for my front tooth, and in 1 more month my dentist will put the healing abutment on top of it. Now, how much longer will I have to wait afterwards until I can get my crown and be done with this?? (This whole thing has taken years because i had to do another bone graft when the first one failed. ugh)

I was in a car accident and lost my front side tooth and damaged other teeth (I had the braces wire on). I have been undergoing surgery after surgery to reconstruct all the damage to my mouth. Currently my dentist explained that his best plan of action is for me to get dentures. I’m only 24! I cry everytime I think of dentures. Is there any other alternative?

I need a tooth implant for one of my front teeth, and my dentist told me it would cost k total (implant, crown and care). This sounds absurd to me. Anyone know of what the total cost is for a single implant, in general (total cost, meaning implant, crown and care)? I feel like I am getting ripped off, and my insurance will not cover any of it.

I heard somewhere that I could get a tooth implant at some dentistry schools. It would be nice to get it done here than pay a few thousand dollars. Has anyone got this or any other dental operations done by a student at a school? I know I can just call a school and ask about that, but anyone who as actually gone through with this please answer.

I just got back from the dentist where I got my first tooth implant. I am not really happy, the preliminary tooth looks fine but I’m concerned about that very detailed I can see the pre-formed post shining through my gum. To me it looks like I have a brown ring under my gum. Everybody tells me that this will go away and it looks like this right now because it was done 2 hours ago. The gum will rebuild and then everything will look fine. I’m really desperate!

Four of my top teeth are still baby teeth and I have no adults ones behind it. The dentist said I can get individual tooth implants for £1700 each, but I can never afford that.
It often hurts to eat cold, hot or crunchy foods. So if I tell the dentist it causes me pain, will I be able to get the implants for free?
Also, I am 17, so normal check-ups are still free.

Or are teeth implants wayyyyyyy too much strong for them to even move slightly? also are teeth implants stronger than the natural teeth? i need that answer answered ^ so are they stronger than naturals?
Howcome you wouldnt be able to unscrew the tooth once you get dental implants? if they screw on.. why cant they screw off? what do they do to make the crown un-removable, permanent when its implants?

Is the implant screwed into the hole left by the roots of the pulled tooth or does the periodontist have to drill deeper into the jawbone?
Additionally: if more bone has to be grafted to the jawbone, where does this bone-graft come from? Is it synthetic?
Also: what are the odds of damaging the mandibular nerve when implanting a lower molar?

so i have cleft lip and palate.
& i have to get 2 implants on not my front 2 top teeth, but the ones next to them.
i have 2 questions about that.
1) do you think i will be asleep like they do for surgeries?
or will they just use novicane?
2) how bad does it hurt afterwards?
im aware that it will hurt alot because of the fact they drilled into my bone. but will it be unbearable, excruciating pain? or will it be an aching pain when it hurts really bad to eat, like after getting braces tightened?
this is my 8th year having braces(im only 14), and i have experienced alot of dental pain with them.
thnks!

When you extract a teeth, how long do you wait for put an implant in?
Do you have to wait until the hole in your gum closes, or you have to do it right away?
Because I need a teeth implant and its been over a week and the hole is starting to close up.

Let me know what your experience is with having a tooth extracted. Mine is way loose, I bit on chicken bone/cartlidge. Did anyone get a tooth implant and how much did it cost you b/c my insurance doesn’t cover it. Thanks for responding.

im afraid that if i undergo dental implant i will be toothless for a while. i don’t want to look funny and toothless. i hope there’s no "toothless time" between the healing process and the actual placement of the permanent caps. is there?

I am missing too many teeth on the lower side ( 2 molars on the left , 2 molars+one premolar on the right ) can’t afford to put 5 implants , I was wondering if I put one implant on each side and then make a bridge with the implant and my good teeth , would it be an option ? And would it be cheaper than an implant? How much is a bridge ?
