what are the signs of gum diease?

On Saturday, I brushed my teeth in the morning before going out. Everytime I brush my teeth, my gums briefly bleed profusely, then stop after a few minutes. During the outing, I open-mouth kissed a guy. Now, I can’t stop thinking I have HIV. Is this likely? Should I get tested? I feel like I lost weight this morning and have a sore in my mouth that wasn’t there yesterday, too.

I bleed often when I brush and my gums seem a little red and inflamed. Will a 50/50 mix of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water help to reduce the inflammation and stop my gum bleeding? My teeth are also pretty sensitive to air or wind, and extreme temperatures (hot, cold).

I once read that like one in 20 people don’t brush their teeth properly and have gum disease. Im just wondering how many people suffer from gum disease in the world what are the statistics?

iam 44 years old and i went to a new dentist and he told me i have perio infection and he put on a treatment which i can only buy the med. from his office. the treatment he wants to give me is long and expensive. i looked on the net for the gum infection i have, and my gum are not sore, blistered and do not bleed when i brush my teeth. my gum are not like the ones pictured in these photos. please help i cant afford to go to a new dentist for advice. the dentist who i used to go to died and when i saw him last year. he never said that i had gum infection

I can feel a couple of my bottom front teeth slightly loose (can barely tell unless im really looking) with some gum seperation…i can not afford a dentist for another 6 months..i have been using listerine and the new crest toothpaste along with flossing and electric toothbrush…will my gums get better on their own? is there more i can do besides this?? im not in any pain..just concerned…never even had a cavity!!

I have not been feeling well and I’m trying to explore if my symptoms could be related to gum disease. I am a diabetic and have other health problems. My symptoms are difficult to define, but include: shakyness or a type of tremor right when I wake up in the am, naucea, cold sweats. Can symptoms like this be related to gum disease or cavities?

okay so today i saw my dad’s teeth while he was brushing his teeth so i waa\s wondering is anything wrong because i always see him picking it with a toothpick. so i went up to him and ask whats wrong and he said nuthing and i just saw a glance that is teeth are turning black staring from the bottom of the teeth and seem to be spreading. i wanted to check his gum also but he woulnd’t let me.(check is it turning black) and i think he has gum disease i relly want to help him but my dad is really stubborn he dont want to pay to go to the dentist so he can save for me and 4 of my other sibling for school. i feel really bad because he always do whats best for us and never really care about himself. how can i help him fight its gum disease? and he also smoke. please help.

my friend doesn’t have very good gums. she called me and told me she just ate, then went to brush her teeth and saw a ‘bubble’ on her gum, just right under her tooth…. is it gum disease and can it be treated without going to the dentist?

I recently noticed that some of my teeth are loose (I have all of my permenent teeth) and today noticed that the gums on my bottom set of teeth look inflamed and are a little sore, but the gums on my top set of teeth are okay, they’re light pink. I just went to the dentist recently…. no cavities, yes!! But the doc says I have bacterias in my gum which can cause gum disease and lead to bigger problem. He recommend that I get my gums a deep cleaning??? Anyway, my appointment is set to 2 weeks from now and Im just very scare becuase I never had a deep cleaning before?? does anyone know what they’re going to do or what they mean by deep cleaning my gums???

The last time I went to the dentist they said that if I didn’t start brushing really good that I could develop gum disease. Tomorrow is my next appointment and unfortunately I haven’t done that good of a job. For the past week or so I’ve been brushing my gums really good but they hurt a lot.
