I’m trying to find out what is the best teeth-whitening system without going to the dentist for a professional whitening. I’m researching for my fiance, who is in the Marines. Because he doesn’t have the time, as well as all the amount of paperwork he would need to file to get a whitening done, we want to find something over-the-counter. He has really sensitive gums, so I’m nervous for him to use the white-strips. Do the trays seem to work better? Or is there another product someone could recommend? Any suggestions would be great…thanks!

I am about to have my wisdom teeth removed because one is partially impacted and another is partially erupted with the gum grown over it. I am slightly concerned about pain afterwards because honestly my threshold is pretty low. Does the Dentist/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon usually prescribe enough medications for only the first 24 hours or for a few days. Thanks.

I got my braces off 4 days ago, and my teeth are incredibly sensitive, especially to juice. It hurt so badly when he was polishing them. Is this going to go away?

I think my wisdom teeth are coming out on the left side of my mouth. The last top and last bottom teeth hurt, even my gums feel irritated. I cant go to the dentist for a few days, was wondering if whiskey would help soothe pain or if that is an old wives tail. Thanks

Four of my top teeth are still baby teeth and I have no adults ones behind it. The dentist said I can get individual tooth implants for £1700 each, but I can never afford that.
It often hurts to eat cold, hot or crunchy foods. So if I tell the dentist it causes me pain, will I be able to get the implants for free?
Also, I am 17, so normal check-ups are still free.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted 7 days ago. Got dry socket in a at least one of the lowers. Packing took care of that pain, but now I’ve been experiencing severe intermittent jaw joint, ear and tooth pain.
The dentist said I’m experiencing trismus. From what I’ve read online, I’m tempted to ask for x-rays (hairline fracture?). If it’s trismus, shouldn’t the pain be letting up faster?
Any dental experts that can help me?

The veneers were done 2.5 month ago and covered 6 upper and 6 lower front teeth. The whole procedure was extremely unpleasant, most of my teeth were shaved off (dentist said it had to be done because I had too many fillings), and I’ve had a lot of pain and sensitivity to air, cold and hot ever since. It’s gotten little better but I am still not able to bite into anything hard or even a fruit without pain or discomfort. I wonder if my teeth were permanently damaged.

36 yrs old
As a kid my baby tooth fell out and I had no adult tooth underneath it. It is my 3rd to the last tooth on the bottom right. My bite or smile isn’t affected at all…yet at least. I noticed the teeth to the left and right have receding gumline. This is the only area where it’s present. After insurance my bridge is 0. What should I do? If someone has 1 missing tooth and they have healthy gums, but they are missing 1 tooth what usually can happen if they just leave it alone the rest of their life?

My beloved Dad has severe bad breath that has affected his social life and his wonderful friendliness. Getting him to drink more water and obtain better oral hygiene is like pulling teeth. No pun intended. :~D He has a Dentist’s appointment in a few weeks, however, I was wondering what he could do in the meantime. Thank you so much and you rock!

Or are teeth implants wayyyyyyy too much strong for them to even move slightly? also are teeth implants stronger than the natural teeth? i need that answer answered ^ so are they stronger than naturals?
Howcome you wouldnt be able to unscrew the tooth once you get dental implants? if they screw on.. why cant they screw off? what do they do to make the crown un-removable, permanent when its implants?

For one consultation with the dentist, he suggested that I have some teeth filed away for braces. I didn’t like that idea because I think it would cause nerve damage. In the long term, I may have to cope with sensitive teeth. The dentist said that I already have thin enamel probably from drinking acidic foods or brushing too hard. My mom said that she had to cope with sensitive teeth for the rest of her life because of filing. I’m a bit skeptical of this idea and not sure, any suggestions?
