I had an emergency tooth extraction on Monday. I did not receive an antibiotic nor a pain killer. Today is Thursday. I am having pain that comes and goes. Could that be an infection or part of the healing process?

I have receding gums on 5 lower teeth,is anything l can do to help the situation? Like mouthwash? My dentist suggests that l do a tissue graft,but l don’t have insurance and it cost quit a bit. It doesn’t hurt ,but l don’t want to get worst.

I’m not saying I’m worried I have, but I’ve never kissed a boy and now I’m paranoid it’s because I have bad breath, LOL!

How would you know if you had bad breath? How could you tell?

My wisdom tooth is coming in and its made my gum swell a bit and i cant chew and it hurts a lot and i cant close my mouth all the way and it sucks how much it’s sore. please help

I had the trays once but they didnt make the entire tooth white, as if the product didnt cover the entire tooth, it wasnt uniform. will the laser (i think its laser), the one time whitening be better at making the teeth all white?

I’m 16 and got jumped, now I need work done in my mouth. I got the teeth in the front bottom of my mouth kicked in and was wondering of 16 was too young for dental implants or else I have to get dentures for a few years.

I had my lower right wisdom tooth break the surface last year and then found out I was prego and knew I couldn’t really do anything about it so with the pain gone from it erupting I let it go. Now a year later I am having major ear pains but no ear infection and no jaw pain. Could I still have impacted wisdom teething causing the ear pain though without the actual tooth pain?

I have been having cold/hot sensitivity on my right upper side, in the back. I had several fillings done, but months later, the pain is still there. We have a cat with bad breath, but — well, our cat’s breath smells like cat food, really.

She eats good quality food and some dental/breath treats, but — still not great. I haven’t had cats for very long, so figuring out how bad is bad for a cat, if that follows, isn’t easy. Would there be a sort of decaying odour if there were dental problems involved?

Do all rancid foods give off the same scent? I made some homemade granola that I eat every morning at work. I added some ground-up flax seeds because of their apparent health benefits. On the third day eating from this batch I noticed a weird aftertaste — really an ‘aftersmell’ – reminiscent of bad breath (the halitosis kind, which I normally don’t have, mind you). I recall reading that flaxseeds (and other seeds too I think) are prone to becoming rancid. So I am wondering if perhaps I am smelling something slightly rancid in my granola.

Other than the smell it tastes pretty good and I don’t feel sick or anything after eating it.

So I thought this kind of question would be a good use of Yahoo Answers…. Anyone have any ideas?

I’m 21 and I think my wisdom teeth are starting to come in, or do something at least. I have some pain, nothing severe, but I have pain in the gums where the teeth would be, in and around my jaw, and sometimes in my ears. I searched on google, but I couldn’t find a clear answer to this. So, does pain mean that there is a problem, or can there be pain even if they are coming in normally?

I’m starting to grow my adult teeth in and the pain has hurt the whole side of my mouth…
It’s either my adult teeth or my wisdoms need to be plucked…I havn’t lost all of my baby teeth yet……

Recently my 1st cat named Shirley(which i no longer take care of) was recently diagnosed with gum disease and breast cancer. I now take care of a young cat named Monster who still has good teeth, but i need to take some action in order to prevent what Shirley faces and so his teeth won’t be falling from left to right.

My sister in law has taken on 2 foster children in a foster to adopt program. Upon taking them to the dentist, they found that the 2 year old has severe tooth decay and the dentist wants him to have all his teeth pulled.

If you are a dentist, please answer: Is this really necessary and what are the implications for the child’s nutritional intake? Will it really affect the adult teeth to not have them pulled? I’ve heard of having a tooth or two pulled due to severe decay, but the whole mouth? I imagine their is such a great nutritional risk? Should she seek another opinion?
